The Voice 2021 – Animation Avatar Kendji Girac

For the final of The Voice 2021, TF1 wanted to evolve the format and integrate an avatar of one of the show's favorite singers: Kendji Girac.
Effigy took on the current project, to rig/skin an avatar designed by another studio, and carry out the animation; Performance Capture of the song, body & face, retouching and post-animation.
"Classic" filming on our set in Paris 15; the position of the future candidates of the final was materialized by mannequins, the director of the show was there to direct this filming within the filming; Kendji, very professional and very friendly, lent himself to the game with ease, and the whole thing was put together in less than two hours.
Once the post-animation was completed, the avatar was then integrated by Blue Node into virtual production (Unreal) with the 4 candidates of the final, live.
Nearly 6 million viewers watched the show, which saw Marghe win.
