Virtual Jazz Club – a Virtual Production Live Concert

“All of Me” is a home production, a small live, real & virtual jazz concert!

This demonstration presents several Effigy skills:
– Creation of avatars, from photos, ready to animate
– Design of a 3D environment, the Jazz club
– Motion Capture bodies, fingers, faces of the two musicians
– Real-time virtual production of video images, in multi-camera

With the help of two talented guitarists, Harold and Gustave, the studio was transformed into a concert hall for one evening.
Motion Capture data is collected on a PC and transmitted to two other synchronized workstations that generate HD videos in real time with RayTracing (2 stations to have 2 camera axes simultaneously). Everything works well live, except for the guitar "objects", for which we have to clean up the 3D "collisions" with the musicians' arms, hands and fingers. Our post-animation team did a remarkable job on this.

A new virtual concert, in front of an audience of audiovisual production professionals, is planned for February 2022, with singer David Adom and guitarist Harold Bellanger.
